Introduction
This article explains how to create flat ground data on a project.
Point cloud data representing the current terrain is required to create objects (such as flat ground areas).
Once it would have added point cloud data to the layer, you can intuitively create flat ground data for use in construction within the project.
Procedures and Explanation
How to create flat ground data
First, add point cloud data from the project site.
1) Click 【"1"Add Object”】 and select 【”2"Add Flat ground.”】
2) Select where to create the flat surface data on the site, 【"1" draw the flat ground with a left click of the mouse】, and then right-click to select 【"2“ Finish drawing”】 after the last click.
3) 【"3" Add parameters】 for cut and fill areas to connect flat areas, surrounding point clouds with TIN.
- Uncheck the “With Slope” parameter to create only flat data.
- Change the smoothing pitch to create cut and fill areas according to the selected terrain.
- If you check the “With Slope” box, you cannot enter a value of “0” in the cut setting or fill setting parameters.

How to check and edit the created flat data
The created data is stored in the object layer.
By clicking the three-dots menu button as below image, you can edit it after creation or measure the soil volume and surface area of the created data.
